Triangle Kayakers & Beyond is for those who not only enjoy kayaking, but hiking, skating, cycling and just about anything else which requires a fun attitude & a love of adventure. Kayaking is our main focus, but we’re fond of getting together with like-minded folks who enjoy company while exploring the many venues the Triangle (and beyond) has to offer. Our kayaking events will vary from the lazy, leisurely paddle (excellent for beginners), to the more adventurous and fast. Short and long distances will be offered as well as kayak fishing and camping. A full range of activities will be posted to suit your watery & land-locked aspirations.

If you're new to Meetup.com, don't be shy or nervous about coming to your first event. We’re a fun-loving welcoming group whose sole purpose is to meet like-minded individuals. All we ask is that you click on the disclaimer,  safety, skills self-assessment, membership and organizers/common adventure module links below to review the requirements before attending one of our meetups.

If you're not familiar with kayaking, hiking, cycling, etc. its imperative, for your safety as well as ours, that you understand the basic requirements so we all enjoy the event and everyone makes it home safe and happy.

Membership Entrance into the group is easy. Answer a few questions, upload an image to your profile, and subsequently one of our organizers will approve your request to join the group. Note: if at any time you become inactive for more than 6 months, we'll remove you from the member list. Whenever you decide you’re ready to participate in the club again, just sign back up! This way, when you see member listings, you know members will be available for events you may suggest. Meetup numbers do not mean much when more than ½ the members are not active!
