Data Connections -- Options, Functionality, and Performance

Have you ever needed to extract information from a web page when you did not have direct access to the underlying data? John Marquis will walk us through using the IE and HTTPRequest objects in VBA code to get data from the web and save it in a usable format. Each of these objects has strengths and weaknesses depending on the application, and we will examine how to best use them. As always, our meeting will begin with a “Stump the Chumps” Q&A before the main presentation, so bring our office programming questions.

Looks like this presentation complements the "data mining the web" presentation.
