Lunch at Whole Foods and Jean Anderson's Preserving Guide @ Quail Ridge Books

Let's meet for lunch (12:30ish)(it's Sunday) at the Raleigh Whole Foods (Ridge Rd.) and then walk over to Quail Ridge Books, both in  Ridgewood Shopping Center, for Jean Anderson's 2 pm author reading.  Feel free to attend either or both.  Great chance to meet others from the meet-up and share tips and ideas for the holidays!

Jean Anderson is a local author (Durham) and will be talking about two of her books at 2 pm, including "Jean Anderson's Preserving Guide: How to Pickle and Preserve, Can and Freeze, Dry and Store Vegetables and Fruits".

From the Inside Flap:

"In this classic work, born of the back-to-the-land movement, Jean Anderson teaches you how to enjoy the bounty of your own garden, farmer's markets, and roadside stands--all year round. With Anderson at your side, you'll learn which fruits and vegetables are best for canning, freezing, and pickling and, along the way, learn how to insure food safety. Jean Anderson's Preserving Guide provides easy-to-follow directions for preserving whatever you grow and dishes up more than 100 original recipes."

The TN Meetup at Whole Foods Market was splendiferous! What a group of bright, engaging people! I can't adequately thank Steve (Hoff), and each individual who made the event so special. Very much looking forward to Kaitlin's presentation.

Regrettably, I was unable to attend Ms. Anderson's event at QRB.

I love connecting with people and everyone there today was so talkative and willing to share about their own eating lifestyle at the moment.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
