I would suggest the topic of "Problems of the Opposites". Ed Floyd |

Gilbert,
Moral objectivism is a broad topic. One of the things that I find most interesting about moral theory and meta-ethics is that any moral system (it seems to me) must explain two things. The first is the very existence of categories such as "right" and "wrong" and what they mean. The second is how moral agents can even choose between the two. So, in order to talk about an action as right or wrong, you must first define the terms and then explain how an individual is capable of choosing between one or the other. I know this is basic stuff, but thinking about these characteristics might help you begin to narrow the topic. I am preparing to write a thesis on meta-ethics as well, and I think the best approach is to write about what I find interesting. I hope that helps somehow. - Will L. |

hi gilbert just to make it short that if you kill someone that is not a moral thing to do that is a wrong thing to do if you give someone hope and with humility that is a good thing and its the right thing to do philosophically you can argue why revenge is so common in todays world. is it social justice or personal justice why you may decide you really have to ask is there a philosophical agenda to it and why |
