most people always and in general do things in the present and keeping it real of the now current trends to current philosophy to current information and current tv shows and cinemas of whats in the news . the world always change for what is real now is not always real tomorrow. sometimes philosophy of the now is not always real. its like dawinism is that real or a myth. even scholars who studied the craft of philosophy or psychology try to keep things real of the present . no matter what we believe in the most important is what is real for you. what do you believe in Aristotle Socrates Plato have foundations of what is real for them . who do you adopt your beliefs from or individualistically do you have your own set of beliefs and philosophy. real issues do change of the times we live in, we adopt and set the rules of the world. no matter whet is real or not . we need some structure in our thoughts of personal beliefs of the world in how we see it and develop. no matter in how to understand the world we all have problems fitting in and a sense of belonging and that is part of our journey. we try and find in who we relate to or on the same wave length and when we do find our own kind of people we tend to make statements of the world and pass it on to others and become teachers. some philosophies down through the ages do make sense and some don't its how you feel comfortable in what philosophy you follow that is why there is so many churches around whether you are seven day adventists, uniting , Roman catholic, or other denominations they too have a philosophy and teach differently to the world they believe what is real for them.

and it goes back to what influences you most no matter what is real for you we are all the same race

Rod,

There is a "truth" in nature. Because we philosophers have not found it does not mean that it does not exist. When we find our place in the universe, we will know the truth. We will know the truth when we recognize the "pattern".

i do not think there is truth in nature most philosophers of the past called this metaphysics whether its Plato Socrates or Aristotle they had an metaphysical journey into the unknown of nature Socrates were spiritual where Aristotle took it as a scientific approach.

Rod,

If you don't believe there is truth and you rule it out up front and don't look for it, you can never find it. We can find the patterns in metaphysics if we look for them and if we are able to recognize them when we see them. Darwin's fatal mistake was arbitrarily ruling out the metaphysical in his well known theory of evolution.

Rod,

That is what our personal journey is about to search for truth and meaning but that is a different aspect
in life. through out the ages human patterns change as well as nature civilizations have come and gone , the world has many changes including the weather. in an to an uncertain world patterns do change over time and so does metaphysics it can be real or not real to any civilization that may have disappeared through the ages.
what may be human nature now will be different in a thousand years from now. it will be real for a certain time and in time it will not be real. the same applies in metaphysics.as well as patterns

Rod,

I cannot follow your reasoning when you say, "it will be real for a certain time and in time it will not be real". How do you know? Is there empirical evidence? How do you reason that?

Rod,

To an example of this reasoning is the television show the Simpson's has been on for over twenty years and during that time the common person is influenced with the philosophy behind the topics they show on each episode in which many influence the viewer. if you love a TV show and slightly obsessed with it and many people are. you get to know the characters but most important each episode sends a message or a cause an example of this in one episode Lisa goes on a crusade about the eviroment and the damage man has done to this planet
this message is taken through to the viewer and is influenced by that thought.and now has influenced the world an example is now everyone is behind it especially celebrities and politicians and now when you go to the shops most shops are banning plastic bags because to protect the eviroment and now in todays society its real . governments world wide are trying to use less pollution and introduce a carbon tax. twenty years ago before the Simpson's came on TV the eviroment was less talked about and it was not real back then as it is now. and through out the ages many people who go on crusades to make a difference in the world and change it are successful then they beocome famouse and come known as the most influential. and the behaviour of society changes.
another example is reality tv its influence has changed the world in what it was twenty years ago there is more and more reality tv shows more than ever and its influence has changed many people and has changed the world in how we live. if you send a strong message across to change the world on tv the chances are. you just might become famous
civilizations through out the ages have come and gone. the greatest influencies are William shakespear who not only influenced the world but is still talked about today the primary influece that changed humanity was the bible and the life time of jesus

As I mentioned in the above blogs in conclusion there is another revolutionary process 1 invent something and manipulate it and it becomes new 2 spread the word and it becomes common 3 educate 4 it becomes the way of life it becomes real. depending if its longetivity or short lived depends on conviction and to be able to see it through. if its short lived it becomes not real anymore and the old ways disappear all in the name of progress
