Judging History

Discussion leader: John Broughton

And now for something completely different.

Are you competitive in nature? Do you like trivia? Do you play World Tavern Poker 4 nights a week?

There have been some active side discussions about having a meeting in a 'competition' format. While it may seem anathema to compete in areas as subjective as philosophy, I think some of us have developed a format for a fun trial run!

This meeting will pit our small discussion groups against one another, centered around a broad (and deeply interesting) topic. To prevent Googling ahead of time, this topic will be unveiled only at the meeting. Note: this is not really 'trivia' in the traditional sense, so no need to dust off the high school history books just yet!

Come prepared for a highly stimulating evening!

It was informative, yet not very interactive.

Fun! Interesting people. I thought there was just enough structure to get people talking and interactiing. The game sort of gave the event focus--but wasn't too structured. I'll definitely do another event.
