Tarzan and Jane Singles Book Club Starts Up Again

  • This location is shown only to members

  • Tarzan and Jane Book Club

This is a book club for singles (40s,50s,60s), with emphasis on learning about relationships.  Books that we have read in the past touched on love languages, loving yourself, dating, marriage, gender differences, and difficult relationships.  If you are suddenly single and wanting to know how to meet others or just want to know how you can have healthy relationships, then this group may meet your needs.  It is an open discussion of issues with both genders.  Attendees are welcome to participate or just listen without sharing. We will be covering a compilation of notes from the books we have previously read. I will send out chapters each month and will need your email address. It is not necessary that you have read the chapter before the meeting but it helps. I will have copies for those who are unable to print off their own copy.

We will be meeting once a month on the first Thursday,  evenings from 7:30 to 9 pm at our home in Raleigh (Susan and Daryl).  Our first meeting of the new year will be January 3rd. New members are always welcome.

Please RSVP to Daryl at [masked] or[masked] mobile.

This month we will talk about communicating. There are 14 rules for communicating as defined by Dr.Guy Grenier , the author of the book 'Ten Conversations You Must Have Before Getting Married'. We will talk about 'love letters', 'gender differences', 'reading people'. Last we will cover the 5 love languages as promoted by Gary Chapman. We end discussing real stories dealing with communication.
