FYI: Celebrate Blessing of the Animals

**This is not an official Meetup event, just information regarding an event that some of you may be interested in attending.

From Gary Kowalski:

We'll be hosting an interspecies gala on Sunday, October 6 at 10:30 am at the Community Church of Chapel Hill Unitarian Universalist. Mammals, birds, reptiles and all manner of beasts are welcome! Just be sure your companion is leashed or crated, house-trained and under human supervision at all times. This is a kid friendly event.

I'm the new "interim minister" at the church, a committed vegan, and author of several books on animals and spirituality, including "The Souls of Animals," "The Bible According To Noah," "Goodbye Friend: Healing Wisdom For Anyone Who Has Ever Lost A Pet" and more. Come for a barking good time.

That's great! Are you guys coordinating with Duke? Rondy Elliot always keeps the vegan community involved with that big celebration. Thanks for doing this!

Dilip, I just moved to Chapel Hill and only recently became aware of Rondy. No coordination with Duke this year - but I'm sure the Triangle can manage more than one Blessing of the Beasts.
