Triangle Aquatics Center & Triangle Water Polo Club will co-sponsor a series of Youth Water Polo Clinics beginning in February and lasting through May. The clinics are intended to introduce new players to the game of water polo and refresh the skills of those who have participated in previous year's clinics.
What: Clinics will last approximately 2 hours and will occur approximately every 4 weeks. Your child can attend one clinic or all the clinics.
When: 1:00- 3:00 PM Feb 5th, March 3rd, March 31st, April 28th and May 19th. Please note Feb 5th is a Sunday and all other days are Saturdays.
Who: Girls and boys ages 9-17. Participants should be able to swim 50 yards freestyle without stopping.
Cost: Each clinic is $7 per child. You may buy a "passbook" for all 5 clinics for $30. Please inquire at the front desk at TAC.
Why: Does you child love the water? Is he or she a swimmer, but occasionally get a little burned out? Water Polo is a great way to keep your child focused on aquatics and maintain aquatic shape.
Did you know: Water polo is the oldest Olympic Sport. It is also the fastest growing women's NCAA scholarship sport. Since it's expanding quickly and relatively new, scholarships are easier to obtain in water polo than many other women's sports!
What else: As in previous years, we intend to run a five week summer season from mid-July through late August.
