The Big Cheese is feeling a little too big. So, I want to get back into being healthy and exercising. The biggest problem with exercising is finding the motivation to do so. A great way to find the motivation is to have others motivate with you. Therefore, we are doing this early morning workout to help everyone who wants to get back into shape.

Staring Location: When you enter Bond Park, take the road for the Ball Fields 1,2,3 and the Lazy Daze Playground. Then take a right to the parking lot for the Lazy Daze Playground and Fields 3 & 4. There will be a Comfort Station on the left and then the trail head at the edge of the parking lot. That's where I'll be waiting. This is the start of the Fitness Trail.

Okay, the first response is : Why the frick are you doing this at 10:00 in the morning!?!?
A few reasons :

  • Your body responds better to a morning workout and will burn more calories during the day
  • It is getting frackin' hot out, so let's get it out of the way before we melt in the sun
  • I don't plan on the workout taking a long time, so having it early will get it out of the way

What will be doing?

  • Introduce yourself to everyone
  • Stretches
  • Fast walk the Fitness Trail

I'm not a personal trainer, so the stretches and workouts along the trail will be by suggestion from the group. I will have a few stretches prepared to start us off and the trail workouts are posted at each station.

  • Wear comfortable workout clothes
  • Trail is not paved 100%, wear appropriate footwear
  • Bring whatever fitness electronics you want to (stop watch, heart rate monitor, etc?)
  • Bring water or workout beverage so you don't get dehydrated

Pet Friendly : Well behaved, active dogs
Kid Friendly : No
Smoker Friendly : No
