So far the consensus is to have it on the 15th so that is what the plans will be. I think the best time is 6:30. We currently have a count of 9 who have RSVP?d (including guests) and I?m sure the list will grow quickly. I'm going to put this on the calendar and RSVP for those folks who have notified me by email.
The best thing will probably be for us to arrange our local carpools. I?m in North Raleigh, so anyone from this area (including Brier Creek) can carpool with me. Durham folks, you can meetup with the Raleigh riders if you?re near the Brier Creek area. It seems like we have three general groups of folks by area. Raleigh/Brier Creek/Durham Cary/Apex/Holly Springs Chapel Hill/Carrboro Folks should keep in touch with each other to arrange the best time and locations for carpooling. If you need to contact me, my number is:[masked]
Since this is family style eating, let?s not leave out family ok? Bring them along, kids, parents, friends, etc. All are welcome and it really adds to the experience. We order and order and order then split the bill so the more we have, the cheaper it is for everyone. Those folks who have not RSVP'd can do so by logging in and updating the event for that day.
Could I also get a volunteer to make some cards for the group that have basic phrases to order food in Chinese? It?s probably best if you could write them in pinyin so those of us who cannot read Chinese can understand. That way we can practice ordering in Chinese.
We offer variety of activities including but not limit to Chinese class, Tai Chi, Chinese cooking, Chinese game, potluck, dine out, attend local Chinese community event organized by other groups etc. It's a fun place to explore Chinese culture! Come and meet native, fluent and beginning Chinese Speakers and those with a desire to speak and learn the Chinese language and its culture!
