Meetup Description: Jennifer Chang studied Gu Zheng with the Grand Masters of China for 10 years. She received her graduate degree from the Xi'an Conservatory of Music, in Traditional Chinese Music, in Xi'an China.She has performed as an honored guest in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and throughout the United States. Two of her most notable performances were as a soloist for the Emperor of Japan and former United States President, Bill Clinton.
Jennifer was also the first Chinese musician to introduce Gu Zheng music to the world of ballet in North America when she performed a solo accompaniment for the ballet ?Ballet Festival?, created by the Carolina
Ballet's artistic director, Robert Weiss.

Eugene Kobisky plays the Bayan, a traditional Ukrainian wind instrument. He has performed for the past 18 years at a variety of International Folk Festivals, played on the "Silver Screen", at Wilmington, NC, played on numerous TV & Radio Shows and in schools, colleges and universities.
Mr. Kobisky will be performing in traditional Ukrainian garb.

Regular Ticket Price: $10
Student Ticket Price: $5 (valid ID required)
Tickets may be available at the door, but the theater is small and may fill up quickly so be sure to order your tickets in advance to make sure you are able to get one.

We will meet at the front of the theater at 6:30 PM.

Off-Street parking should be available in the lots across from the theater which is located between N. Blount and N. Person Streets.
