Yin Yoga with Lisa McCaskill, RYT, YYRT

Yin Yoga is a Taoist form of yoga that focuses on stretching the connective tissue of the body to promote better range of motion while also stimulating the flow of energy through the meridians; similar to Acupuncture. Yin poses are mostly floor poses that work to stretch the lower body. Poses are held for several minutes to give the connective tissue the needed time to stretch and release. Mindfulness meditation techniques and focused breathing are incorporated into the class.

You'll need to bring your own mat and wear stretchy clothes you can move easily in. Suggested donation of $5-$10.

Lisa received her certification to teach Yin Yoga in 2010 with Shala Worsley of the Asheville Yoga Center and is a Yin Yoga Registered Teacher (YYRT) with the Yin Yoga Institute. Lisa completed a 230 hour Therapeutic Teacher Training program at the Asheville Yoga Center in September 2012.

IS there parking on site? I do not know this area very well. Will be rushing to get there after work. Where do we park? Thanks!

Hi, Onja! Welcome to the Club. There is parking available on-site. Once you turn east off Alexander Drive, you should immediately turn into the parking lot on the right (building has frontage on Alexander Drive). Further up is Duke Public Safety (too far). I look forward to seeing you there. Randy

It's actually Alexander Ave and not Alexander Drive. If you're coming onto Alexander from Erwin Rd, you'll see a sign for the Police Department before you'll see the Episcopal Center sign. Turn into that parking lot; the two buildings share the lot.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
