Let's cap off the riding season with a ride at Liberty State Park in NJ. This park is flat and features a network of winding trails along the waterfront with the Manhattan skyline, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty as a backdrop.
We will have friends from Northeast Trikke joining us on this ride. Headed by trainers Tom and Tara, they will be bringing some of their riding friends from NJ and NY.
We will meet at 1:00 pm at the Flag Plaza, which is along the Hudson Waterfront Walk. There is a parking lot adjacent to it at the intersection Moris Pesin Drive and Freedom Way. From the plaza we can ride in either direction to explore the park. I'm not going to set a distance for this ride, as each rider can stay with us until they decide to leave.
I will email all participants my cell phone number Friday night 10/18. I will also hold the following Saturday (10/26) open as a rain date, and will make the decision by the end of the day 10/18 if the weather looks like it will force a delay.
This ride starts later than usual due to the long drive for most riders, and I would recommend carpooling if possible. I will have spare parts and an extra Trikke or two on hand in case anyone has any technical issues with their Trikkes.
