What is wisdom? Can it be developed and if so how?
How is it related to compassion and creativity?
How does it relate to the Buddhist concept - or experience - of emptiness?
In the 5th and penultimate week of our introductory course to Buddhism we will be entering the very heart of Buddhism.
We will begin with a talk and discussion, followed by a guided meditation after the tea break.
Led by Alobhin, a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order, these friendly, informal meetings are aimed at newcomers to Buddhism and anyone who would like to refresh their knowledge and practice. We meet at 7.30pm and finish around 9.30 - 9.45pm.
Next week’s topic will be: The poetic dimension
Triratna Buddhist Community Leicester is an established group and we anticipate more people will attend than are registered on this site (so please don't be put off by apparent small numbers!).
After the 6th meeting, anyone who wishes to take their interest further is welcome to join our regular Sangha night at the Quaker Meeting House at 7.00pm on Thursdays.
