My name is Kathy W.   I just wanted to give you all an update on what's become of the former Ann Arbor French & English Bulldog MeetUp:

Bailey recently stepped down as organizer & no one else expressed interest in keeping it going.  To keep the website open & preserve the ability to reach all of you, I took over ownership of the subscription on MeetUp.  I had been planning on eventually starting my own French Bulldog playgroup at my home in Troy.  I realize that many of the group's members in or around Ann Arbor may not wish to drive 45 min to Troy for a playdate, but some of you are closer; & truthfully, some people are willing to drive even further, since there do not appear to be any other French Bulldog playgroups in Michigan.  To sum it up, taking over this spot on MeetUp is my starting point for getting the word out for this new MeetUp venue.  If any of you still want to meet at the former venue (dog park) in Ann Arbor OR ANYWHERE ELSE, please just let me know & I can schedule it : )   Some folks may simply leave the group, which I regret but understand completely.

It took me a long time to decide on a name for the group & I was considering "Southeastern Michigan French Bulldog Playgroup," but liked "Troy Bullies" better-- the point being that my home in Troy will be the primary venue, but does not have to be the only venue.  As far as the status of English Bulldog in the group's name... I'm struggling with that one a little bit.  While I do not want to thwart English bulldogs & their humans from joining (I love those bullies too),  my focus for this meetup will be the French Bulldog breed.  So for now I will include the EBs in the group description but may eventually change the title again.  The good news is that have been hosting meetups for the Troy All Dog Playgroup since February & we have no English OR French bulldog regulars except my own boy Roger!  My hope is that many of you will join that group as well because everyone there will LOVE YOUR BULLDOGS  : )

I welcome your feedback.  Please be patient while I figure out how to use the organizer tools & basically get my act together.  My next step will be deciding on a good date for the next meetup.  Other details will fall into place in time.  Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
