Did my first practice Triathlon (sprint distance) today on Key Biscayne. Swam 0.4 miles, Biked 11 miles, and ran 3 miles, including that big bridge they call "The Hill" (it's the closest thing they have to a hill in Miami) No idea of times, & the transitions were at a relaxed speed, but my pacing felt good for all three. The run up the hill the first time wasn't too bad and coming down felt great, but turning around to climb the hill the 2nd time was slower and harder - a bit of a beast, quite frankly. My legs were mad at me for a while, but after a good nap this evening, got a little better. Juan was there in the beginning, but was just swimming. Alfonso and Johanna were very friendly, helpful, and patiently waited for my slow mountain bike at all of the turning points in our route, and Alfonso even let me borrow an extra set of sun glasses. I will definitely be back frequently.

I know it's last minute, but I'm going to try to join you. Not sure I can keep up, since I have a mountain bike, but I'll try.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
