The Tucson AquaPonics Project is pleased to announce educational tours of the largest aquaponics farm in Arizona - Maggie's Farm in Avra Valley.
Each tour will be strictly limited to 25 people so that everyone can get the maximum benefit of the tour commentary.
Maggie's Farm includes three aquaponics greenhouses covering more than 3,000 square feet of deep water culture (raft style) grow beds and an additional eight 5,000 gallon Tilapia grow-out tanks in a separate 'fish house' as well as several hundred square feet of fodder feed growing systems, 4 additional greenhouses and much more.
Please note: This tour starts promptly at 8:00 AM. Please plan your trip to include time to drive slowly on the dirt road the last mile before the farm.
After the tour there will also be the opportunity to learn about the Essential Community Organics non-profit site next door.
The tour fee supports both the Tucson AquaPonics Project and Essential Community Organics.
Thus tour must have a minimum enrollment of 10 people (not counting Stéphane and Casey) to be held! Refunds will be given if the class is canceled. Deadline is Friday at 6:00 PM.
If you don't want to join Meetup to RSVP, please call Casey Townsend at[masked] to reserve a spot or sign-up at http://www.ecogrohydro.com/ or in person at the Eco Gro store at St. Mary's and I-10.
Your credit card or Pay Pal statement will show your payment as made to 'Arnavon.com' - which is Casey's company (since the Tucson AquaPonics Project 501c3 status has not yet been completed and Pay Pal will not allow non-profit use without the IRS determination number).
