Drinking Godlessly

This is a regularly scheduled meetup for Drinking Godlessly! We meet at 6pm every other Thursday at the Red Garter on Speedway Blvd (just a bit east of Country Club). During the first hour, there are several drinks on the happy hour menu, so arrive before 7 to take advantage! Feel free to join us later if you can't make it early - we're often there until 10pm or later. It is a very popular meetup in which we solve most of the world's problems - until next time. Join us and help us come up with solutions!

We are often in the main dining area of the bar, but occasionally it is crowded, and we'll move to the outside patio. Rest assured, we will be there! The waitresses there all know us and our group and know that we're all atheists - they're totally cool with it.  They call us "The A-team", and you can ask them without fear if you don't spot us!

The goal of these meetups is to have fun socializing with fellow atheists, skeptics and freethinkers. We will have no agenda, and no lectures, though you can expect a fair bit of atheism talk. The Red Garter is a bar and grill, so it's open to all ages. There are pool tables, dart boards, video games, and more. As far as food goes, they've got burgers, sandwiches, typical bar and grill fare, as well as 15+ beers on tap and more in bottles, plus a stocked bar.

Hope to see you all there!

Jack, I hope you will visit with us once or twice, so you can gather a few answers. For myself, by the time I was twelve the whole story of God making the world and then watching the people that he had made, and regularly punishing them for disobedience, just was obviously a made-up story. Knowledge of the various world religions and how they differed also played a role in my thinking. Also, why the bible? If there was a God he could simply tell me what the truth was, rather than inspiring a bible at a time when very few people could read.

I am old, shy, and have not talked to many atheists & I am curious why you are atheists.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
