Social Event: Watch State of Union among Supporters

Hi, folks, I received this from another organization to which I belong, so I thought I'd make it a special social event for our group. This is taken directly from the annoucement I received (and it doesn't necessarily reflect the sentiments of the group or its's just an event, that's all). All the details are here. Bring a friend, have half priced appetizers and drinks and/or dinner. Should be fun. I'll be there an hour earlier and will hold seats in accordance with your response... Join us for a State of the Union Party (State of the Union Watch Party) *Let's watch the State of the Union Address, socialize, vent, cry, laugh, eat and discuss how we can still change the world... Remember how we felt When President Obama was still fighting to reach the White House? When he was still on the outside looking in? Well, it's a year later, how do we feel today? Did we expect too much too soon? Are we glad he's unlike his predecessor & actually trying to work with the opposition or is it time for him to stop trying to bring 'everyone' to the table? Let's discuss. We're on the RIGHT side of history and that's what matters the most... FOOD AND DRINKS SPECIALS - 4-6pm Half price well drinks and appetizers 4-9pm $1 Domestic Pints AGENDA - 5-7pm Come for dinner. Open discussions 7-8pm State of the Union Address 8-9pm More open discussion ***Rusty's has 5 TV's in the room we'll be in, we'll have them on CNN and/or CSPAN Time: Wednesday, January 27 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Location: Rusty's Family Restaurant & Sports Grille (Tucson, AZ) Tucson, AZ Tucson, AZ 85745 Directions: Rusty's is on Grant Rd. just east of Silverbell on the Southside of the street. Thank you Kate for setting up the event. Nancy and I enjoyed the time with the group and hearing the speech.

Nothing like sharing moments with fellow atheists. We need more nights like this.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
