Body Love Support Group

  • Jul 17, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This group is for people who want to foster in themselves a healthy body image and a healthy relationship with food. There is no religion, no workbook, no steps, only people helping people to be their best selves in a compassionate, open minded environment. You can identify as a person with body dysmorphia or an eating disorder, but it is not necessary to benefit from this support group. Many people have a complicated relationship with food and body image, and as long as you wish to move forward, and help others do the same, this group is for you. The Body Love Support Group is open to adults of both genders, and is open to the public. We will start with once a month on the third Wednesday and make decisions based on time, location and frequency as we evolve.

For the next several meetings, we will be meeting in the meeting room inside the Children's room at the main public library.  Everything is subject to change, so check in from time to time.

If you have any questions, comments or concern, do not hesitate to contact me.

Sorry I missed the meeting 3 days ago......I am at work (I fly for a living). I'm hopping all around the U.S. for a week (and going through annual retraining, yuck). Hope to see you all at the next "meetup". P.S. - There's nothing wrong w/your body, it's your brain that's screwed up :-)

Since we were talking about juicing at the last meeting, thought I'd pass this website along, The Juice Lady Cherie Calbom, who has written several books and also has a newsletter you can subscribe to - http://www.juiceladycherie.com/Juice/.

Good meeting! I was thinking afterwards that I should tell the members about a couple websites with tons of great information about healthy eating, and both of them you can sign up for their regular newsletters: mercola.com and naturalnews.com. The downsides - on Dr Mercola's website he's always trying to sell products, on Natural News he does a lot of libertarian ranting.
