The August movie is Memento (2000). Not religious but suitably mind bending! From IMDB: "A man, suffering from short-term memory loss, uses notes and tattoos to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife." The really interesting thing about this film is that it's shown in roughly 10 minute segments in reverse order, so like the protagonist, the viewer doesn't know what has happened before - although of course you know what will happen next, as the movie progresses. Stars Guy Pierce, Carrie-Anne Moss, Joe Pantoliano and directed by Christopher Nolan (Inception, The 3 most recent Batmans)
After the movie, we'll head over to the Epic Cafe (745 N 4th St, at University) to talk about the movie and anything else we feel like.
The Sahara Apartments are on Stone a block and a half south of Speedway, on the west side. There is plenty of parking right there. Note that the theater is through a locked security gate. Someone from our group will be waiting inside the gate to buzz everyone in, but you must be there by 6:30 as that's when the movie will start. I recommend that you arrive a few minutes early!
