This group is for people who want to foster in themselves a healthy body image and a healthy relationship with food. There is no religion, no workbook, no steps, only people helping people to be their best selves in a compassionate, open minded environment.
TONIGHT'S TOPIC: Cultivating mindfulness and creating the kind of small changes that help us get to our major life goals
You can identify as a person with body dysmorphia or an eating disorder, but it is not necessary to benefit from this support group. Many people have a complicated relationship with food and body image, and as long as you wish to move forward, and help others do the same, this group is for you. The Body Love Support Group is open to adults of both genders, and is open to the public. We will start with once a month on the third Wednesday and make decisions based on time, location and frequency as we evolve.
For the next several meetings, we will be meeting in the meeting room inside the Children's room at the main public library. Everything is subject to change, so check in from time to time.
