The November movie will be either "The Lottery of Birth" or "Hitchens v. Hitchens", depending on whether the theater's DVD player can handle the former's format (I have it as a video file rather than the usual DVD format).
The Lottery of Birth is the first in a three-part documentary series entitled 'Creating Freedom' exploring the relationship between freedom, power and control in Western democracies.
Hitchens v. Hitchens: in April 2008 the brothers were brought together to debate the Iraq War and the Existence of God.
I am also debating whether to have a December movie night. It would be on Dec 23; if enough people are interested I'm happy to host it - send me your vote or comment here. Or just sign up for it early!
After the movie, we'll head over to the Epic Cafe (745 N 4th St, at University) to talk about the movie and anything else we feel like.
The Sahara Apartments are on Stone a block and a half south of Speedway, on the west side. There is plenty of parking right there. Note that the theater is through a locked security gate. Someone from our group will be waiting inside the gate to buzz everyone in, but you must be there by 6:30 as that's when the movie will start. I recommend that you arrive a few minutes early!
