Caffeinated Godlessness

Let's get together and discuss topics in atheism, politics, culture, and anything else that our brains come up with. We always start with a central topic, and then let the discussion go where it will.

This discussion group often reaches into history and theoretical concepts, which means that we discuss not just current topics, but how the past and the possibilities of the future may affect it.  It is not necessarily a goal-oriented discussion or a planning session, as much as it is a chance to play in the mental field of these ideas, from as many angles as possible.  If you like to discuss in that way, this group is for you.

If you have a topic you'd like to discuss, please email me. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hope to see you there!

My husband and I had a good time. Is this meetup mostly for single people?

Breaking News...Today the AZ State House passed their commerce bill that includes support for discrimination. Check out what Kyrsten Sinema has to say on the subject here:

    Also go here:
and let the governor know how you feel about the bills.

I edited Kyrsten's message and sent it. Here's what I sent:

These commerce discrimination bills are bad for Arizona’s economy and will hurt business in the state. You must consider the negative consequences Arizona will face should you sign it. The economic hit to our state, if this misguided bill is signed into law, will undoubtedly harm thousands of hardworking Arizonans, and is irresponsible at a time when we are just starting to recover from the economic downturn. Arizona is better than this. I call on you to show leadership and veto these bills. DO IT!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
