Thanksgiving morning hike in Pima Canyon

I am not much for celebrating holidays, but i *am* grateful for a) days off from work, b) the nature around Tucson, and c) my community of non-believers. I'd like to combine them all with a hike on Thanksgiving morning with my favorite heathens.

I haven't been to Pima Canyon in over a year, and i thought it was about time i headed back. It's a wonderful little canyon that, once you get a little ways back, makes you forget you're in the desert. Here is the Sierra Club description:

I don't go too quickly on my hikes, but there are some definite little scramble sections so this isn't a good hike if you're out of practice.

I recommend bringing extra water (2 liters should be enough), something to snack on, and a camera if you like.

Legally, Pima Canyon is limited to groups of 15 people, so I cannot permit more than that many people to sign up. Please do not show up if you are not on the RSVP list, and if you are on that list, please make sure you attend.

Matt, i live maybe a mile north east of the university. If you want to meet at the north east corner of Speedway and Campbell, in by the Boston Market and Verizon store, that would be easy. Meet there around 8:30?

That'd be great, I am off Campbell between 6th and Broadway. I'll see you there.

I can bike to the freeway or wherever to make it more convenient. Sorry for the double post.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
