Hi everyone! This Tuesday let's watch THE COMPANY YOU KEEP, the new drama starring and directed and co-produced by Hollywood legend Robert Redford, about a former 1960s radical whose violent past comes back to haunt him. Co-stars include Julie Christie, Nick Nolte, Richard Jenkins, and Susan Sarandon. This movie has received somewhat mixed reviews, currently running 54% on rottentomatoes.com. The Globe and Mail's Rick Groen says "the plot lines -- guilty secrets, innocent secrets, 11th-hour conversions, revealed parentage -- proliferate wildly and intersect haphazardly ... You can't help but applaud the effort, even as it falls short." The Toronto Star's Linda Barnard calls it "tightly written ... a busy film, with a packed plot and lots of characters -- and superb character actors that keep popping up." Anyway I think it will be interesting and thought-provoking, as Redford always is. So, please come see it with us!
