Ever wonder if you could take care of yourself if lost in the outdoors? We'll teach you how to avoid becoming lost in the first place and the basics of fire building(no matches!)/basic navigation skills/shelter building and good hiking practices.  We'll also be discussing what to do to prepare for an urban disaster.

Children aged 10 and up are welcome!

Our guest instructor will be reality T.V. star/consultant David Arama the "Survivorguy".  Our group will be joining his class *note this will not be for women only!!

Proceeds from this adventure will go towards the True Nature program to allow women who have survived abuse to reconnect/heal with nature.

I can offer a ride for two people. I'm coming from the Woodbine / Gerrard area and will be heading along Kingston Rd to the park.

Oh thank you Lesley for my refund, I did not expect. I hope you offer this Survival Skills Meetup again. Possibly in the winter months. Many folk I think, cross country and could also find themselves lost. I did, and took the wrong trail back. The lodge had to send a rescue team to find me about 6 hrs. later etc. By then, it had turned dark and I was so scared. Have a great time, see you in the New Year

Sorry you can't make this one Judith...but I will be running another in the future. It's an essential tool for all who like to wander in the wilderness!

I've always wanted to do something like this, I have gotten temporarily lost in the woods and it was frightening. I'd like to know that I could take care of myself in that situation.

This sounds great. Is anyone going from the Barrie or Newmarket area that I could drive with? I'm not so great at driving in Toronto. I do drive so I could meet you somewhere.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
