Twilio Hack Night: Build a Twilio-Powered Hard Phone With <Sip>

  • Apr 25, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Old phones, new capabilities. Join us as we build Twilio powered hard phones using <Sip> from Twilio. We’ll make those dusty landline phones ring using Raspberry Pi, Asterisk, FreePBX, and the Obihai OBi10. You can see exactly what we’ll be building in Jon Gottfried’s tutorial here.

Developer Evangelist, Joel Franusic will be there to do a full walkthrough of the project. We’ll have a few extra supplies on hand but if you’d like to build it out and take it home, we recommend you bring the list of supplies below:

-Raspberry Pi - $35.00

-Obihai OBi100 - $39.95

-4 GB SD card - $12.45

-Ethernet cable - $2.80

-Micro-USB power cable - $7.00

-A laptop

If you’d just like to attend, feel free. We will walk through together as a group but you can work at your own pace. We'll also have pizza, snacks and drinks.

We’ll see you then!

Anybody coming in from the North Bay (or heading back that way)? I'd like to carpool.
