Camping, Horseback Riding & Hiking Near White Water Park...No Wimps Allowed!

We will be staying at the Lazy D Campground, located just north of White Water State Park. Lazy D is a modern campground with: Pool, Clean Restrooms-Showers, Small Store with wifi. Lazy D also rents cabins if you don't want to stay in a camper or tent. We will be hiking in White Water State Park witch has several trails running along the lime stone bluffs. The trails are easily traveled so this is a kid friendly event. Feeling lazy? No problem, Lazy D Campground offers Trail Rides (your chance to be a cow boy~girl). Afraid of heights well stay by the pool as the rest of us go to the Elba Fire Tower!

White Water State Park is located just north of St. Charles witch is 20 miles east of Rochester MN.

Things You should know:

Cell Service is non existent one you drive in to the White Water Valley. So if you are using your cell phone as a GPS make sure you can preload or "cash" your maps ahead of time.

Once I am in the Valley I cannot receive your phone calls. Pleas Take Lazy D Campground's Phone Number With You!

Lazy D Campground IS NOT part of White Water State Park. Their Campground is on the north side of the states property.

White Water State Park has a campground and we ARE NOT staying at the White Water State Park Campground. This means if you go to the White Water State Park office and ask: "Where is the Twin Cities Adventure Seekers Campsites?" They won't know, You will get mad because we are not where we didn't say we would be and you will go home and send nasty e-mails...... As you probably guessed, this happens every time I have an event at Lazy D Campground

St. Charles has a few restraints, so if you don't feel like cooking at the campsite you can eat your meals in town.

I will be staying in Campsite #14. Normally we can have 2 modest size tents and 4 adults per campsite. Network among yourselves to arrange sharing campsites. It is your responsibility to contact Lazy D and reserve your spot.

Horseback Trail Rides.

Provided by Lazy D. The trail rides are $22 for a 1Hr ride. Not all of us will be going on the trail ride. To guarantee a spot you will want to  scheduled your Saturday or Sunday ride, on Friday evening. Lets meet at Campsite #14, figure out what time works best and Register together. Groups are no more than 13 riders.

Sights are $41 if you want Electricity and $35 without. If we are willing to share camp-sight I think all 5 of us can be on one sight. $41/5 is only $8.20 for camping.

Sounds like fun Jeff, however I gotta try white water kayaking.
Enjoy, hope you get good weather.
On a side note, I'd still like to try the bike trails in Lanesboro.
