All ages (children must pay and be accompanied by a paid adult)
Intrigued by mushroom hunting, but not sure which ones are safe to eat? Then come and hike with your family to learn about some common edible mushrooms. We’ll explore Westwood (both on and off trail) in search of Giant Puffballs, Hen-of-the Woods and Sulfur Shelves. The afternoon’s foray will end with a small mushroom sampler plate.
Sunday, Sept. 8, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. ............... Activity # 7267
Westwood Hills Nature Center, 8300 W. Franklin Ave.
$5 per person (resident) / $7 (non-resident)
Registration deadline: when program is full
P/S: Registration is open to the public and 24 max is capped by Westwood. Log in their website immediately and pay directly to get their Receipt # and secure your spot!

      Hi Vince, sori u missed the event! It was a bit dry so we managed to get only 3 edible mushrooms stirred fried with butter and they were simply delicious!!! Gena has posted all her amazing closeup shots to share... check them out! Hope to see u at future events soon.
