Hey3, a pic will tell a thousand words... so look out for LOTS of pics... soon! Secured a nice clean Airbnb room at a steal, bought 2day New York Pass, enjoyed Heathers the Musical at 1/2 price, captivated by the spectacular close up fireworks at Coney Island, cracked up some new friends at Broadway Comedy Club, snapped magnificent aerial views from State Empire Building, covered all bridges & Statue of Liberty, checked out 911 Memorial Museum, Little Italy, Chinatown, Central Park, Time Square, Rockefeller (NBC Studio Tour closed for reno, Talk show guys out on vacation & Jimmy was taping in Florida), scrunched George Clooney's hair, danced with Rihanna n Beyonce, rubbed shoulders with Julia Roberts, Angelina & Brad, etc. Only damper was, we smacked right into the Pride Parade, city was brought to a crawl and hindered our covering more attractions in 5days. Well, we'll just have to return to NY another time for more! Any takers? ;)

Hi Alli, we would love for you to join us! It's a 1st visit to NYC for all of us except Elke who's originally from there and she'll be there visiting her family the week before. We are getting ready to consider flying out Thursday evening after work if the price is right (lowest monitored so far was $341/RT) and even fly back anytime on Mon i/o Tue depending on the budget fare available! Yes, we're seriously considering Airbnb. I've shortlisted to 3 possible options depending on our headcount. Openings are running low since it's the week before 4th July so we need to confirm asap! We've started a separate chain email to keep interested members in the loop n will include u if join us on this trip! Fyi, we'll be meeting tonight for MMMD and trying to fine-tune some details for the trip including cost-sharing, narrowing down accommodation n airline. Can you email me back today if your are confirmed coming on board with us for this trip? Tks/rgds, Audrey

Hi guys, I've added in Lisa after assuring her that we're not traveling high-end and max out our money on hotel accommodation n airfare. As a confirmed group of four, we can now look out to rent an apt and get ready to fly budget airfare when the price is right. Dave, I hope you're fine with us adventure seeking buddies traveling together. You'll get priority for the bed, we'll bring our sleeping bags if necessary! ;) I'm sending you guys separate chain emails to review and discuss outside of this webpage. ttyl...

Need clarification: event post states 6-27 through 7-1. Your comment two days ago stated you submitted time off for Friday June 27 to Tuesday July 2. July 2 is a Wednesday :). Are we returning July 1 or July 2?

      April 16, 2014

    • Audrey

Sori for typo, Lisa. Tue, it's Jul 1.

      April 18, 2014

  • Audrey

Guys, I've already submitted my time-off, waiting for co-workers to pick up my shifts for Fri Jun 27 to Tue Jul 2. We might have to consider getting there Thu morning if we cannot get tickets for Mon as some talk shows are only available Mon through Thu. I've submitted my email for notification of free tickets in several websites but have no positive replies so far. Also checking on lodging as we're not planning to spend a lot on a group trip. Can everyone who RSVPed stay connected and share our researching via chain mail outside of this webpage so it's not overwhelming info crossing here? We should meet at next Potluck n put all our heads together to finalize this event! ;)

What is the cost of an airline ticket? Are you tenting in Elke's backyard? Lol. This is tempting :)

    1 · April 2, 2014

    • Audrey

Lisa, can I count you in this event? 4 is just the right size to share everything, n many of the talk show tickets do not welcome too big a group n restrict to 4...

No. Can't afford it right now. Would have been fun, fun, fun.

      April 14, 2014

  • Elke

I went to www.kayak.com to find airline prices. Started mixing & matching dates to see which ones were cheapest. Well, what I found was $340 for leaving on Thursday, June 19th & returning on Tuesday, June 24th. It makes a difference because of the days of the week plus time of year - it would be right before kids end school in NY. BTW...there's no backyard to tent in anymore, but if there still was one, it wouldn't be a problem ;)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
