Because this event has been on the board for so long ( it was on the board even before I was part of the group), many may have registered before we had a date and location picked.

Sand Creek needs to have an accurate count on who is attending.

Pleas follow the directions below.

Sorry about the length of the instructions. If you have any questions call me on my Google Voice #  M-F after 5:30 or any time on the weekends. (612)[masked] or send me an e-mail through meet up and i will send you my Cell # Jeff

I am going to remove everyone's RSVP.

If you still want to go:

1) Follow the directions below and make a deposit with Sand Creek.

2) Come back to this page and re-register.

Their are two ways to make your deposit for this event.

The 1st way is easiest but you are putting your credit card on a web page that is not "https", This is a wiki article about http vs https.

The Non https way:

1) Go to this web Page

2) Scroll down about 2/3 of the page and look for PRODUCTS click the drop down window and chose {3 Zipline Tour} or {3 Zipline Tour and High Ropes Combo}

3) Click May 18 on the calendar.

a) Fill in the PERSONS field. (how many you will be paying for) If bringing a guest you can have them do this part themselves, unless you are paying for them. Back on the Meet Up page you can RSVP yourself and if bringing a guest add them in the number of guest fields.

b) If you picked 3 Zipline Tour and High Ropes Combo Click the 10 am reservation.

c) If you picked High Ropes Click the 11:30am reservation.

d) Click Continue

The https way.

1) Go to rates tab,

2) Go To the payments button on the left,

3) Then paypal button (which accepts any card) this is a secure page " https" .
The KEY is in the shipping "Special Instructions" you need to specify the date time and the group you are with. Also add your PHONE NUMBER

I woke to the thunder. Was going to call myself. It'd be nice to reschedule. I don't think it'll be as much fun in the rain & it sure would be great if more peeps could join. Thanks for the update.

This sounds like fun to me. I won't know if I can go until it gets closer to the date ( work). Is this physically taxing or mostly a thrill event.

8 year old kids can go so it can't be to bad. If your are comfortable climbing up down ladders I think you will be ok.

Sundays would probably work best for me as well, as I coach my son's football team and they play on Saturdays. So I am looking at Sundays in September. Are there any, besides Labor Day Weekend, that look better or worse for eople? Any big events going on I may not be aware of?

    August 15, 2012

    • Audrey

Hi Kevin, are u planning anything for this event?

      October 2, 2012

  • Tony

The same as probably a lot of others, I am interested, but whether I go depends on the selected date. Sundays are probably best for me. As Devin posted, the closer the location, the more likely more people will attend.

    August 15, 2012

  • Devin

I’m interested no matter the location (car pooling/road trips can be adventures in it's self). However, you may have a better turn out if you go with the SandCreek location - regardless of its price increase, just for the fact of it being closer. Just my opinion! As far as people not following through on 'yes' RSVP's on events without a date. I think it's mainly to show “I’m very interested, if it falls on a date that works for me”. I’ve never been a host to a meetup event so I really have no idea, but I think it’s nice knowing how many people are interested if it works for their calendars. If it turns out to be a lot....schedule two or even three dates! :D

I am not trying to be mean or negative, I just want a realistic picture of what I may be getting into if I agree to host this meet-up. I have wanted to do something like this for a long time.

    August 10, 2012

  • Kevin

I have a question for people who want to do this. Do people realistically want to go to this meet-up in Park Rapids that is 2-3 hours away??? I ask because in my experience, people on meet-up who respond "yes" without a specific date doften don't actually go.

TCAS Adventure Seekers, this event was posted by a previous member. Presently we have 27 interested members but need a new organizer/co-organizer to make it happen! Will any of you step up to take the challenge and set a date? Btw, TCAS now have a permanent venue for our monthly Potluck Meet & Eat, every last Sat of the month. All Members are encouraged to share their dvd and adventures. Jay is sharing his Italy land n sea dvd trip this Aug 25. We are sharing and steadily growing in our new TCAS community, so hope to see you n your family any last Sat of the month soon!

Hey Kevin! Would you like to host this event that was originally posted by previous organizers who already left? You're all set up as an organizer so u can edit event details. I'd like to participate but would know only closer to the set date.

    August 2, 2012

  • Jo

I vote for the Sandcreek place. Way more to offer than the other place which is a really long drive for such a short adventure (we did the course in less than 20 mns).

Kevin, you are right. Sand Creek is kind of expensive adventure, but if 10 or more people RSVR for the event, we will qualify for the group’s discount. Please see the link:

Luba has a cool website connection to a place that is within 40 minutes of the metro. Price with the living social deal is more than Park Rapids, but it would be much closer and gas would be cheaper. I think it merits consideration if nothing else.

I'm leading a group from my church and would love to join together with this meet up for the event. I would possible have 15 people from the group.

I have done this event and it is not scary at all unless you are afraid of heights. My opinion is that it is more geared for "family" since it is next to a resort. I hace not done the 3D swing though (wasn't available or new when I visited.)
