Best Weekend for Bayfield, WI / Apostle Islands Trip???

At our first get together we briefly talked about both the Bayfield, WI / Apostle Islands area and also a fall hiking/biking/camping trip. After thinking about this a bit more, we thought Bayfield, WI would be a perfect place for this trip. The area is incredible, it's a short drive from the Twin Cities (just over 3 hours), and there are a multitude of outdoor activities in the area. We were thinking either September 29 - October 2 or October 6 - 9. This should be approaching the peak fall season and before it gets too cold. We could get together to plan ahead of time and propose options for both camping in the area, plus hotels, for those a "bit less adventurous". Let us know what date works best for you. We will get a signup going then start planning. Should be a fun trip!

What day would work best for you for a Sunday Kayaking adventure on the Minnehaha Creek?

Hey there thrill seekers! At our meet and greet, those of us attended we able to put our minds together and start coming up with a list of some great ideas of things to do. One of the things we wanted to try to get in before the weather turns cold was kayaking. One of our fellow members recently kayaked on the Minnehaha and had great things to say, leading to our next meetup! So for those interested we are going to go do some kayaking on the Minnehaha Creek. You would need to find your own kayak to use but several places here in the cities rent them, such as REI and Hoigaard's. Most people were saying Sunday's worked for them, so I'm checking to see what day would work best for those interested. I know we've got the State Fair, Labor Day and school starting for people, so please let me know!
