New Meetup: Shore Fishing at Lake Nokomis - Re-scheduled!

Announcing a new Meetup for Twin Cities Fishing Fanatics!

What: Shore Fishing at Lake Nokomis - Re-scheduled!

When: Tuesday, June 15,[masked]:00 PM

Where:
Lake Nokomis
4955 West Lake Nokomis Pkwy
Minneapolis, MN 55417

This is a great time to go to the shore and do some casting or float a bobber for some good 'ol panfish!

Lake Nokomis contains an abundant population of fish. There are fishing docks at the north and east side of the lake, and fishing "piers" on the Cedar Ave. bridge. The lake's main fish populations: walleye, tiger muskies, largemouth bass, pumpkinseeds, bluegills, crappies, yellow perch, black and yellow bullhead and common carp. Visit the Mn. DNR's Lake Nokomis web page for more information.

I will be on the North Shore at 4:00 pm fishing until people show up. We can continue to fish there or move to the South Shore as the group decides. I would plan to stay until dusk, weather permitting.

If anyone is interested, we can go to Carbone's afterwards for a bite to eat, maybe a 1919 Roob Beer on tap, Beer or a Malt (Mmmmm). They have a wide variety on the menu including pizza, salads, sandwiches, appetizers and dinners like broasted chicken and fish & chips - reasonably priced.

Take my cell number that pops up after you RSVP and use it to call if you cannot find me at the lake (or any other concern). Bring you poles, tackle and fishing license. Moore's Bait shop nearby is closed on Tuesdays, but you can stop up at TJ's Bobby & Steve's Auto World in Minneapolis where they have live bait, including minnows.
