RSVP Rules

RSVPS

If you RSVP, please understand that you are making a commitment to show up, which means you need to add it to your calendar (use the export function) or set a reminder in your phone. If you're unable to make it to an event please try your best to give the organizer at least a 24-hour notice by e-mail, phone/text (if number is provided) or commenting on the event page.

No Show Policy

At the discretion of the event organizer, a NO SHOW POLICY might be enforced, especially for events that have limited seating or requires a reservation (i.e. resturant meetups and J-Drama/Variety Show/Anime Night). If you RSVP to an event and cancel less than 24 hours in advance, or if you don't show, email, call (if a phone number is listed) or provide any notice whatsoever three times (3x), you maybe restricted from attending events (last minute cancellations) or removed from the group (No Shows). It is a bit harsh, but it is not fair to other members and event organizer if someone RSVPS and does not show up without notice.

No Show policy will ALWAYS be enforced during restaurant meetups and J-Drama/Variety Show/Anime Night. Look for the RSVP and No Show clause in the event information.

Last Minute Cancellations

If you are on RSVP list and cannot make it at the last minute, please change your RSVP to No, email or call the organizer (if a phone number is provided) as to why you could not make it. If someone is regularly cancelling at the last minute, the organizer can prevent the member to advance from the Wait List or remove him/her from the Attending List.

Event Restrictions

Organizers reserve the right to remove any member from an event with limited seating/tickets if they have previously been marked as a “No Show” for another event with limited seating/tickets or whose record indicates that they habitually “No Show” to events.

Waiting List

If you are on the Waiting List, it is your responsibility to manage your RSVP status. Unable to keep track of your status can lead to No Shows. Please keep in mind that members do cancel within a few days of the event. If the Waiting List is set to automatic, members will be immediately moved to the Attending List as soon as there is a cancellation. Please make sure you change your RSVP to "Not Attending" as you make other plans, even if you are on the Waiting List.
