I just looked around and wow where has the time gone? We have lived in Minnesota going on 6 years! Strangely enough it still feels like we only just arrived here yesterday. My name is Marquis Powell and my wife I are from Los Angeles, CA. Have you ever had the feeling that there is a purpose to everything in life, in everything you do and in everyone you meet? Life is full of wonder and surprise. There was a bigger purpose in our making the Minneapolis area our home and so the “The Twin Cities Newbie’s group came in to being.

Are you new to the Twin Cities area? As a Realtor I am amazed to discover how many people are moving to the Twin Cities area.

About our Group!

This group is for singles and couples of all ages looking to make friends and business connections. Our events will include various activities ranging from dinning out to potlucks, game nights to volley ball, and from walking to kayaking on the lakes.

Now the group name calls for a little understanding. Have you ever been to a new town? Try to remember the feeling of knowing absolutely nobody. When you are a newbie you want to know you fit in somewhere, hence the name Twin Cities Newbie’s. As fellow Minnesotans, we want there to be no doubt that they belong. This group however is most definitely for anyone that would like to meet, make friends and welcome a Newbie to the Twin Cites. This is an opportunity to meet people from around the world without even having to travel.

Now lets get this party started shall we! It is now time to kick off the first of many events to come for the Twin Cities Newbie’s group. As you can see we only just discovered meetups ourselves and we plan to take full advantage of such a neat and inspiring way of meeting new people that we are going to have at least 2 events every month.

So when you join this group, get ready to have some fun and make some meaningful relationships!
