Here is another opportunity for rock climbing at Taylors Falls.
If the weather is cold or if the rock is wet, we can just hike around the area and explore the different climbing spots on the MN and WI sides.
Please make sure to pick up your free MN climbing permit at Self Pay Station. You can also pick up a permit at the Park Ranger's office, which is located at 307 Milltown Road, Taylor Falls, MN.
The rangers do walk around and ask to see permits sometimes.
The drive time to Taylors Falls is around one hour from the Twin Cities.
Also if you plan to drive, you will need a Minnesota State Parks Permit to park your car. You can also buy a day park pass.
The Park Ranger's office opens at 9:00am.
Please bring water/water bottles. A drinking fountain is available in the area.
Restrooms are also available in visitor center.
Please look for us in the parking lot. A picture of the meeting location is provided below. Please meet between 8:00am and 8:15am.
I will also come back to the meeting location between 11:00am and 11:15am to help everyone else to find us.
Otherwise, just walk down the paved trail to where the steamboats dock and then keep going over some rocks and you should see the rock climbing area and us.
(FYI: I think that the picture only loads on computers and does not show up on smartphones):
If you have any questions, concerns, or would like my cell number, please feel free to message me; It might be helpful to have my cell number if you are not familiar with the area and not exactly sure how to find us.
