Learn the Basics of 3D Printing with SketchUP

Marcus Ritland will walk us through the process of making a 3D printable part in SketchUp, introduce some 3D Print Services that will make the parts for you, and teach you how to order parts in different materials.

With a background in construction and education from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Marcus Ritland has been using Sketchup professionally since 2008 for his own CAD business, Denali 3D Design. He runs a monthly meetup introducing makers to 3D printing from a print service and teaches a local SketchUp class.

This meetup will be a combined meetup with the Shapeways meetup group.

Hello everyone, it was great to meet you!

For the folks that couldn't make it, I did a live Google+ hangout and recorded it to YouTube. This was the first time trying this, so there are some bugs, but you should be able to learn something!

It's probably best to bring your laptop if you can.
