Since we seem to be into scheduling some winter activities, I was wondering if anyone was interested in some casual rock climbing at Vertical Endeavors. I currently have a punch card that needs to get used!! Unfortunately since my car accident I have not gone and I still have 9 - $3 off coupons... first come first serve.
If you have never been climbing, it is tons of fun! About Vertical Endeavors: VE is one of the largest indoor rock climbing facilities in the world. With over 18,200 square feet of climbing surface, over 60 separate ropes and 15 Auto Belays (which most newbies use) provide hundreds of climbing routes. An excellent beginner area is perfect for introducing new climbers to the sport. In addition, they have a 12 ft high bouldering cave w/over 3,600 ft2 of climbing surface to climb on! We also have a 45 and 60 degree bouldering cave that will rock your world! VE offers weight equipment, showers, lockers, and year round climate control.
http://www.verticalen... Daily Passes * Weekday $13 However I have a Punchcard: which saves $3 If you want to use one of these coupons, please let me know. My card expires January 31 and if I have no takers by January 10th - I am going to sell my punchcard. You will need to purchase a rental package separately. I do have an extra harness (size small), two extra pair of climbing shoes (size 39), and one chalk bag. If you are using the auto belays, you will not need a belay device. Rentals * Rental Package $10 * Single Rental Items o Climbing Shoes $4 o Harness $4 o Belay Device $4 o Chalk Bag $4 o Helmet $1 I would recommend the package :) if you don't have gear. I am suggesting a 6pm start time, since the climbing gym can get quit busy. I'm going to get there early to make all our arrangements, please arrive ~ 5:45pm, as most will have to take a brief safety class. They do have lockers, but you need your own lock. Let's have some fun!
