The St. Paul Classic!

One last pre-ride eve update:

I should have posted this earlier, and I will send an email to all current attendees:

My phone number is[masked]-2189. Please feel free to call, if needed.

The weather forecast for tomorrow looks to be exceptional, so let's all have a safe, fun, and memorable ride!

8/18/2014 Update!

Ok, so I haven't been posting rides (my left knee has kept me off my bike for over a month now), but there's no way I will miss this ride!

Anyway, since the route is only 30 miles this year, please note I bumped the start time to 8:00 AM. The way I see it, there's no sense in starting earlier, unless one wants to do 45 miles (which requires re-doing 10 miles), and besides....does it really  take 6 hours to do 30 miles?  :)

Those that want to start at 7:00 AM, or are planning on doing 45 miles, please feel free!

But regardless of when one starts, please recall that TCSC Tradition calls for a malt, a burger, or whatever grabs your fancy, at Snuffy's Malt Shop, less than a block from where we park, at 1:00 PM!

Questions? Email me! My knee still hurts, but I can type!

Description swiped from their site (and linked below):

Discover traffic-free glee on Minnesota's biggest bike tour! The 20th annual Saint Paul Classic Bike Tour will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2014. More than 6,000 riders come from miles away to enjoy a wonderful ride through Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The Classic is a showcase for the handsome parks and parkways of beautiful Saint Paul. Hallmarks of the Classic include mostly traffic-free bicycling, ride support, great live music, organic fruit, fresh coffee, bountiful baked goods and of course watermelon at the end! Our rest stops are the best in the business! The ride starts on the University of St. Thomas campus.

Please see link for Registration and other info:

http://www.bikeclassic.org/

At this time (March 2) I'm not sure which route I will be riding, but a list/description of the available routes may be seen here:

http://www.bikeclassic.org/event-details/course-information

Lastly, every year we meet-up at Snuffy's after the ride (around 1:00 PM or so), and due to the "positive reviews" it keeps getting, why mess with tradition, right?

More details to follow as the ride date nears!
