*****FOR YOUR SAFETY - MUST HAVE A BIKE HELMET TO RIDE*******
Whoo hoo!! Looks like there will be a variety of riders attending. I will have maps for the longer and shorter routes available. Since I posted this as a 20 mile ride, my focus will be on leading that ride on the longer route at a pretty decent speed of at least 14 mph. Some will probably be going faster, I'm sure. It looks like there will also be some "slow and scenic riders" and there are options for an approximately 5 or 10 mile routes too. Either way, we will meet back at the parking lot around 2:00ish and head over to the Maple Tavern for a cold one of your choice :)
So bring your grin, laugh, some water, and your "go with the flow" flexibility and we should have a fantastic ride for everyone. Please be ready to ride at noon, come early if you need a little air in your tires or anything. And again, please bring a helmet, especially if you are riding in the fast group but I will not hold you to wearing it (Kevin)!
I'll be on the far end of the parking lot, away from the main lodge/chalet. Call me or post a comment if you have any questions. Looks like we will be able to accomodate all levels of riders.
I will post a comment by 10am if the ride is cancelled due to rain. Keep your fingers crossed!
See ya then!
Renae is hosting a lovely Bike Ride in Elm Creek Reserve. Her ride is posted with Outdoor (& Snow) Lovers Meetup group. If you wish to go and are not listed - LMK! I and many TCSC members are signed up to go.
Renae requires a bike helmet for your safety. This will be a social ride with speeds around 14-15 mph. It is an approx. 20 mile loop, with some decent hills, all the way around the park. It may be difficult to stay together as a group so depending on how many people sign up and the speed/abilities of the riders, Renae will be dividing the group up, if necessary, to accomodate the different riders. And after the ride, we can meet back at the parking lot and make our way to the Maple Tavern for a little post ride snack and beverage. She will send out her cell number to the rsvpers on (Outdoor & Snow Lovers rsvpers only) the morning of the ride in case you get lost getting there or on the ride!
This is a great location. I plan to go! Let's all join Renae.
