Ever pushed yourself hard on your bike and sharpened your mental focus so that miraculously all the garbage you dealt with during the day just melted away? It's time to release those endorphins. September is just about half gone and we are in the late days of summer. We had record heat this year which kept me indoors more than I would have liked, but now comes the time that's perfect for outdoor activity: mild temperatures and cool breezes. As usual, work interferes with my recreation, so this series will have to be in the evening. My goal is to get out every day (as long as it's not raining!) for the rest of September. I'm looking for a few stalwart souls to join me for a brisk ride at cardio pace, averaging around 15-16 mph. We'll go somewhere around 15 miles, maybe longer if daylight allows (I will have my bike lights on!) The loop is 18 miles from my house so I'm not sure of the distance from the Depot. I'm open to suggestions concerning the route. The purpose is to push each other a little bit in a spirit of encouragement, not competition. If you're an experienced rider who can share some tips, then welcome! If you're less experienced but you want a challenge, you are welcome also! I look forward to seeing you on a ride soon!
