ABOUT US
We are a group of stay at home moms from all over the Twin Cities metro area. This group is meant for people who want to get together regularly. Although we utilize our web site to plan events and communicate with each other, we are not an online-only group. Our purpose is to give stay at home moms (SAHMs) opportunities to meet other SAHMs for playdates, conversation, support, and friendship. WHAT WE OFFER
Our goal is to offer a variety of activities and events throughout the Twin Cities. Our calendar is jam-packed with exciting events each month. (Click here to see an example of one of our recent calendars.) To get a feel for the kinds of events and activities we offer, please visit our events page. In addition to daytime events for moms and kids, we also offer monthly Mom's Night Out events. We rely on our members to help us plan the monthly calendar - if you have an idea for an event, we'd love to hear it!
WHAT WE ASK
We ask that you try to attend a meet up at least once a month, and RSVP to all posted events. As well, members are strongly encouraged to participate regularly in discussions on the message board and other parts of the web site. We also ask that you pay a $5/year member fee within 30 days of joining the group. This fee goes towards paying the monthly fee to run this website as well as for food, drinks, supplies, etc. for our meetups.
GROUP POLICIES
Member Sales Policy - Adpoted 9/2009
Those who would like to advertise a product or service on our site or sell to our group must be a member for at least 6 months, attended at least 10 events, and get approval from one of the organizers before posting. Each member is limited to one sales event every six months.
Illness Policy - Adopted 9/2009
You and your child(ren) should not attend a meetup event if either of you are currently experiencing or have experienced in the 24 hours prior to the meetup event: a fever of 100 degrees or more, vomiting, open skin sores, strep throat, diarrhea, chicken pox or lesions, suspected pink eye, head lice, other infectious disease, or is in the first 48 hours of a cold or upper respiratory infection.
