Labor Day Weekend Barbecue

There are rumors going around of another polar vortex coming down this way in September.  That means we need to enjoy the warm weather while we have it.  Consequently we'll be doing one last hurrah for summer with a barbecue over Labor Day weekend, specifically on Sunday, August 31st.  We'll get started around 4pm with some pre-dinner activities like bocce ball.  If enough people are interested, we could even do a bocce ball pairs tournament (pairs of people!)

We'll probably do dinner around 6pm and get the grill going.  I'm going to make some chicken breasts and homemade burgers.  If you like, you can bring something to grill too though I should have plenty.  But you can always bring a salad, chips, dessert, or beverages to share as well.

After dark we'll get a bonfire going or we can go inside and play games depending on the weather.  I assume most people don't need to work on Monday so we can go as late as people want.    So come out and join us for one last blast of summer.

Yes. In fact, our bonfire pit has a sort of chimney on it which is really good for toasting marshmallows without burning them, so go ahead with the s'mores.

Casey and I will be there. Can we do s'mores on bonfire? If so, I'll bring the S'more stuff. Otherwise, iI will think up another yummy dessert. :-)
