Looking to improve your communications and leadership skills? Meet others who are involved with the community? Practice public speaking for your next book tour, job interview, or industry meeting? We are an established club and have members ranging from beginners to advanced public speakers. We would like to invite anyone interested in learning more to visit and participate. We meet on the second and fourth Wednesday evenings from 7:15pm to 8:30pm on Bainbridge Island Washington. We are affiliated with Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization with over 280,000 members in 116 countries. A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a supportive and no-pressure atmosphere. There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop skills related to running a non-profit educational club. It is a great way to join others in an effort to improve our public speaking and leadership capabilities and also have fun.
