Last night and ahead of the global #hack4good, the Geeklist Corps of Developers launched:
“The vision is to create the world's only First Technical Responders Corps of Developers. A place where software engineers and hackers, ui/ux designers, product developers and managers, founders, leaders, thinkers and civic minded companies can be called upon at the drop of a hat to respond to emergencies both immediate and long-term humanitarian and environmental. A way to hack a better world.”
This weekend - starting this evening - over 1,800 of us all around the world will come together to find technical solutions to the world's greatest social challenges.
In just a few hours, teams will be starting in New Delhi, and at 6.30pm local time tonight, we will join them.
As more and more groups around the world join in, we're going to start to see what we have created here, and the incredible impact we're going to be able to have on the world with #hack4good.
See you tonight!

We now have over 1,800 registered globally, and over 100 awesome people in London. Can't wait to see what we can build together!
I am thrilled that here in London we have charities participating including UNICEF UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, International Medical Corps UK and Friends of the Earth.
We are going to be building things this weekend that will have a genuine real world impact.
If you know anyone that might want to be part of this, do keep spreading the word!
