For EdTech Hackathon 2013, we'll be hacking the great museums of London.
This year, we invite devs to draw on the digital resources of some of the country’s great repositories of knowledge -- including the British Museum, British Library, Victoria & Albert Museum, Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Tate Britain--to create outstanding apps for teaching and learning in the classroom.
Among the resources we'll have exclusive access to are the Tate Gallery's yet-to-be released digital data repository, the British Museum's brand new SPARQL Endpoint and the Wellcome Trust’s OAI which give access to their vast digital libraries of medical science images.
Cool prizes for winning teams includes:
1) A stint at the Serious Games Institute to help devs prepare their prototype for the marketplace.
2) Chance to demo their app at the BETT show, Europe’s biggest educational technology showcase.
3) Six-month Marmalade developer license
4) Six pro GoSquared accounts (worth $480 each) for 12 months
