Halloween Scareathon

This is a hackathon with a Halloween twist. Taking place at Ravensbourne as part of London Transmedia Fest and London Games Festival, the idea is to build a project that will scare the living daylights out of people (surprise tactics are encouraged).

The most frightening project (can be an app, website, arduino-based or other) will be featured on MSN UK's website, which has 17 million unique views per month. Not bad.

It's being organised by Digital Shoreditch (, tickets are £6.66 (this covers pizza and refreshments), and sign up is here (limited tickets):

Still trying to decide what I'm going to dress up as... Regardless of that, we've just announced that in addition to coverage by MSN UK, the winning team will receive VIP tickets to the 2013 Digital Shoreditch Festival, which is pretty cool (tickets were £90 per day last year).

Winners will be announced during the London Transmedia Fest closing party on Saturday night after the hackathon.

We've also got a forum going on Facebook to form teams, etc:

Hope to see some of you there!
