The 811 programme is a diet consisting of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds to the exclusion of all other foods. The diet posits that 80% of calories should come from carbohydrates in the form of fruits and vegetables, up to 10% should come from vegetable protein and up to 10% from fats for optimum health and vitality in the ultimate in compassionate living!
The diet also promotes prudent food combining, avoids the use of salts, oils, stimulants, superfoods and many other condiments. Adequate rest, sunlight exposure, hydration, stress reduction and positive relationships are also fundamental to being successful on this lifestyle.
Please note: we appreciate that everyone is at a different stage in their health journey, and we respect everyone's dietary choices. We are happy for people who are not yet completely raw or 811 to come along to our meetup groups, but we do ask that you do not bring along food which includes ingredients not allowed on the programme, nor do we permit the promotion of these ingredients to other members of the group.
